Who was Dr. Edward Bach?
Dr. Edward Bach was a bacteriologist and surgeon. While in practice, he found that the personality of his patient was more important than the actual state of their physical body when it came to healing. He believed that medicine treated the disease but not the patient. He began to see that the ill person's attitude and general response to his illness actually influenced their prognosis. He developed 38 different remedies to address and help balance the emotions. Bach flowers are frequency.
Bach remedies have been safely used with people, babies, animals, and plants for support with emotions such as anxiety, fear, sadness, trauma, and despair. Bach remedies can be blended and tailored to best fit each individual’s personality and mood. Several drops of the tincture are placed in a bottle of water and sipped on throughout the day. It can also be applied topically as a spray or as a cream.
What are Bach Flower Essences?
Bach Flower Essences are a strictly frequency-based modality, so they do not contain any physical substance. They are tinctures, taken orally, and they contain the energetical frequencies of various flowers that have been preserved in alcohol (typically brandy) or glycerin. When steeped in spring water and charged in the sun, these flowers have different emotional healing capabilities. Bach Flowers are traditionally taken by adding two drops of each single flower (or four of rescue remedy) from the stock bottles into a “treatment bottle” filled with spring water. The dosage is 4 drops, 4x daily, for 3 weeks under the tongue or in a water bottle.
What are “energy” and “frequency?”
Energy is all around us. Everything in this world is made up of energy and we all vibrate at a unique frequency. So, much like everything else in this world, flowers also have unique frequencies that can have a positive effect on our emotional frequencies. Bach flowers work to balance negative emotions with positive emotions.
Take the examples of love and gratitude. Love and gratitude. They are two of the highest vibrations we have here on earth, while shame is the lowest vibration. By speaking, feeling, and praying love and gratitude, we can change our own vibration, the vibration of others, and even the vibration of the food we pray over! By praying love and gratitude over our food, we can change the frequency to the best digestible frequency for our bodies.
Who can safely use Bach Flower Essences?
Every person! Every animal! Every plant!
What is Body Mapping with Bach Flower Essences?
Dr. Dietmar Kramer is a licensed naturopath in his native country of Germany. He has been an active teacher of holistic health since 1983. He developed this technique of applying Bach Flower Essence over different areas of the body when his clients had vague complaints of pain over those areas and his clients felt better!!
How to blend or apply topically?
1) Make a note of what hurts, breaks out, is stiff, itches, hurts, etc.
2) Select the Bach Flowers, based on the skin zones in the Body Maps Book.
3) Blend a couple drops of each into a cream, lotion, or water (used in compresses)
4) Apply the blend to that area.
5) Prepare your blends for that area.
If someone has expressed Shock and Fear:
Star of Bethlehem is applied above the sternum, right over the heart.
Mimulus is applied to the back directly behind the heart.
Cervical Vertebrae: Water Violet
Thyroid or throat chakra: Water Violet and Holly
Lower Back: Willow, Wild Oat, Cherry Plum
Shoulders/Back (Trapezius): Olive
Sternum/ Heart: Star of Bethlehem
Gluteals/sciatic discomfort: Sweet Chestnut
Right Knee: Rock Water
Left Knee: Walnut
Bottoms of Feet: Centaury and Mimulus
ATTENTION MASSAGE THERAPISTS!!!
Have fun with it!!
Prepare different creams to have on hand when your client's present with discomfort in certain areas. Remember.... a lot of discomfort, stiffness, and pain can be emotional in nature and by applying these creams with specific flower essences blended can provide much needed relief for your clients!!
For example:
1) Betty's Butt Cream (Sweet chestnut flower essence)
2) Nancy's Pain the Neck Cream (Water Violet and Holly flower essences)
3) Frank's Freakin' Foot Cream (Centaury and Mimulus Flower Essences)
You get the idea! Make it your own!! Your clients will return and say,
"My feet feel so good after you used Frank's Freakin' Foot Cream!! I want that again next time!"
